Introducing

Graham Porter

15-11-03

54 year old Graham is one of our most loyal supporters who has been following the Robins for over 30 years, and if there was a ‘top-ten’ of Harwood fans, he would be right up there with the best of them.
When asked where in the ground he was likely to be found, Pop-Side, behind the goal, main stand etc. Graham’s reply was-the bar! He lives in Great Harwood and can often be seen at the Showground helping with the ground maintenance and other club activities. He hardly ever misses a game, home or away though he does sometimes miss the beginning of the matches while he’s still propping up the bar!
Graham’s best moment watching the robins was as recent as last year when we won the F.A.Cup replay at Crook Town, and his worst was when we lost to Rotherham in the same competition in the early ‘70’s.
Favourite current player is Matt Derbyshire and Paul Baker is the top former player in Graham’s opinion. Hobbies include drinking and …..drinking although he does like watching cricket where you’re allowed to have a pint while watching! Dislikes are local rivals Accrington Stanley and Burnley.
The best ground that Graham’s visited while watching the Robins is Witton Albion’s Wincham Park where we gained a creditable draw on our last visit.
If there’s anything to be done around the ground or if there’s anything which he can do to help the football club, then graham is the first in line. Keep up the good work and let’s hope that we’ll have the success this season that YOU deserve.
Great Harwood Town Football Club salute you, supporter of the week…….
