PAUL MASHITER

Today it’s the turn of one of our most recent acquisitions, Paul Mashiter. John Hughes signed Paul from Fulwood Amateurs just after Christmas despite competition from several local clubs. His vital statistics are; Age-24. Height-5’ 11”. Weight-1st. 6 lbs.
Paul’s favoured position is centre forward where he’s able to use his lightening pace to outstrip defenders and ‘put one in the onion bag’, something which he’s done regularly for his former clubs.
His first goal for the Robins came in the League Cup tie at Oldham and he also scored a brace in the exciting ‘derby’ win at Darwen. Unfortunately, because he’s too fast for most defenders at this level, he does come in for some pretty rough treatment from central defenders who’d be more at home on a rugby field. Highlight of his career so far was winning the treble with Kirkham (League, Richardson Cup and Lancashire Cup). His favourite other team is Blackburn Rovers 9good lad!), favourite current player Thierry Henry, past player, Gary Lineker, and the best ground that Paul’s played on is Deepdale.
When not playing football, he likes a round of golf which leaves just a few hours a week to spend with his beautiful girlfriend Nicola, who is soon to become a Mum. Paul has two sisters, Leanne and Laura who both get their good looks from their Mum Sylvia, who is far too young to have a 24 year-old son! Not content with looking like an angel, she also behaves like one by looking after the old folk in sheltered accommodation. Dad Neil is a bit of a Roger Moore look-a-like and also takes much of the credit for Paul’s footballing talent thanks to endless trips to the park over the past 20 years.
The whole family can be found at almost every Harwood game, home or away, and they’re the type of people who we want at this club for many years to come

WELCOME PAUL, AND HERE’S TO A LONG AND SUCCESSFUL CAREER WITH GREAT HARWOOD TOWN
