Introducing

Peter Shackleton

Peter is one of that rare breed of supporter who actually rates The Robins as his number one team which makes him one of an elite dozen or so.
His age is given as ‘a lot’ and has been supporting the club for around 40 years. The ‘Pop-side’ is where he can be found at almost every home game come rain or shine, and you’ll never hear him moaning at the team even when they are having a poor game. He lives in Great Harwood with his lovely wife whose name he failed to tell us, and equally lovely two cats!
Pete Smith is Peter’s favourite all-time player and his favourite current player is the golfer Grace Park-We actually wanted your favourite current footballer Peter!!
Favourite other club is Preston North End and besides football he enjoys any sport, painting and playing on his Playstation. When not watching or participating in sport, he enjoys travelling and particularly likes Hawaii, Las Vegas and Disneyland. Dislikes include dead dogs (?) and he’s not too keen on terrorists.
Peter’s worst moment in football came when he was smashed in the face with the ball during a Harwood v Accrington Stanley game and hasn’t forgiven the culprit yet. Best moments will be very familiar to most Harwood supporters, the victories against Southport in the ATS Trophy final at Burnden Park, and the away win at Morecambe in the same competition. Hopefully there will be many more highlights for both Peter and the Robins in the not too distant future.
Keep up the good work Peter Shackleton
