Have you ever wondered why we’re doing so well this season? Well Ray Booth is one of the main reasons. Last season we were leaking goals like one of the teams we feature on our useless teams page but now we’ve got strength, determination and no little skill, three qualities which Ray ha sin abundance. His ‘they shall not pass’ attitude is exactly what we’ve needed for a few seasons now and thanks to Ray and his colleagues in defence, the future looks bright.
Ray is married but doesn’t say what his wife’s name is-Dope! His vital statistics are: 31 years old and 12 stones 7 pounds. Previous clubs include Feniscowles and Canberra which I must say came as quite a surprise to me as I was expecting him to have played at a much higher level after seeing his superb early season performances. Although this is his first season at the club, he rated the Showground as his favourite ground along with Anfield where his favourite ‘other team’ play.
His career highlight was when he scored a goal, once, though he doesn’t elaborate, maybe it was only in a five-a-side game!
Ray’s private life is very interesting-his hobbies are eating and sleeping-I bet that a night out with him would be memorable!!!
Anyway, from everyone here at the club, including all of the supporters, congratulations on a terrific start to what we hope will be a long and successful career at the Showground.
